Almande de La Nonette was already popular in the mid 16th century. In Germany this tune was linked with the choral "von Gott will ich nicht lassen", Bach made a setting and countless others. This tune is also sung in the film: tous les matins du Monde. In England the tune was know as "the queen's Alman".
